I Park: [formerly EightMile Gardens], a New American garden park taking form in rural East Haddam, Connecticut, was conceived as a place of civerant beauty - conducive to creative thought and designed to inspire purposeful artistic and intellectual endeavors. Here, guests will find wild and improbable gardens, a memorial park, unusual performing arts facilities and, for visiting artists, on-site residence and studio facilities.

The Hall Farm Center for Arts & Education: a 221- acre retreat in Townshend, Vermont that provides an environment for artists, educators and students to investigate, experiment, collaborate and create. Direct support for working artists is provided through summer residencies at Hall Farm, where they can devote sustained attention to their creative endeavors.

The Macdowell Colony: Located in the Monadnock Region of New Hampshire. The MacDowell Colongy facilitates a balance between social interaction and focus on work. Private studios, dining and recreation rooms at Colony Hall.
The autonomy and privacy of the resident artists are valued, studios are visited by invitation only and although breakfast and dinner are served in the dining hall, lunch is delivered to the individual studios allowing for long stretches of uninterupted creativity. In the evening there are offered a number of activities such as readings, slide shows, open studios, and informal performances that allow the residents to become acquainted with and inspired by one another's work. The maximum length of residence is two months; an average stay is four weeks. There are between 20 and 30 artists at MacDowell at any given time; arrivals and departures are ongoing. The cost of artists residencies are paid for through fundraisings.

The CAC (Contemporary Artists Center) offers a combination of studio space, artists’ facilities, and exhibition space. Residency opportunities at the CAC serve as affordable retreats for artists, providing space, equipment, and a creative environment for artists to live and concentrate on their work. Equipment and facilities include printing presses, darkroom and fully stocked woodworking facilities. Established in 1990 by working artists for working artists the CAC is located in the heart of the Berkshires, North Adams, MA.
